Tax Semi Senior Job Vacancy

As a Tax Semi Senior in Ashbourne, you will play a crucial role in the personal tax department of this independent chartered firm of accountants, providing support in various personal tax compliance and advisory services. We’re seeking a candidate who is ready to niche down their career into the field of tax or perhaps is already doing so. You may be studying towards your ACA/ACCA/CTA or ATT or you’ll be ready to start.

The role will involve the preparation and review of personal tax computations and returns as well as providing tax advisory services to clients, addressing their specific needs and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.

We’re seeking a great communicator and someone who will become a close knit member of a team of accountants who pride themselves on offering an outstanding level of service to a loyal and diverse client base.

Job Purpose

  • Supporting a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, championing service excellence.
  • Building good rapport with clients, proactively handling tax queries.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Working closely with management to prepare and submit tax returns.
  • Support the preparation of tax advice for client reports.
  • Keep up-to-date with technical research to support complex tax issues.
  • Championing your own professional development with an eagerness to learn and progress.
  • Support the wider team with ad hoc duties as needed.

  • Proven experience in a tax-related role, within a UK accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in your work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
