Workchain is currently seeking a semi skilled Machine Operator to join our client in Ashbourne on a permanent basis, the contract is a temporary to permanent, 12 weeks.
The successful candidate will be either an experienced machine operator who is either familiar with working on plastic extrusion machines, or has a mechanical aptitude and happy to learn new skills.
The role will be working a 3 shift system, 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am rotating.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring that the quality of the product being produced is in line with customer expectations
Ensuring that the product matches the client brief
Ensuring that the production line is running and set
Working within Health and Safety standards within the production department
Running plastic extrusion machines
Technical training will be provided for the right candidate including production, manufacturing and client specifications.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am, with overtime available during busy periods.
The starting salary is 13.69 to 14.16 per hour, with excellent company benefits including bonus, yearly bonus, free lunch and car parking.
Previous experience of working in a fast paced plastic extrusion manufacturing environment would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
