The Team & Focus of the Role

At Fisher German our customers and clients are at the heart of what we do. We have long standing relationships with many of our clients through the generations (some up to 80+ years). This is due to the trust they have in us to deliver what we say we will, on time. We are a multi-disciplinary surveying consultancy with a history to be proud of.

We’re looking for a Management Accountant or Senior Management Accountant (dependant on experience) to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team based in our Head Office.

This role will suit you if you have experience within a management accounting function in a highly dynamic environment, you are a strong team player and are driven by a high attention to detail. The core purpose of this role is to provide management accounting support to colleagues within Fisher German.

This is a full-time, permanent role and will be based at our Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. We also operate a Hybrid Working Policy.

Duties will include:

  • Producing relevant and accurate management reporting for the firm month- and year-end.
  • Providing support to business Divisions with financial analysis and helping to understand its financial performance.
  • Direct involvement in producing the 5-year plans, annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Manage delivery of the FP&A projects as required.
  • Direct involvement in implementation of the finance dashboards in PowerBI.
  • Direct involvement in implementation and development of the financial planning software Vena.
  • Direct line management responsibilities if required.
  • Ad hoc reports and tasks as required.

The successful candidate will have...

  • Proven track record in management accountant’s role is essential.
  • Be comfortable manipulating a large volume of data.
  • Ability to manage large workloads effectively and efficiently in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the business.
  • The ability to translate financial jargon into terms non-finance colleagues will understand.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, specifically pivot tables, formulas, v- h- x-lookups, sumifs, sumproduct, etc.
  • CIMA qualified or actively studying for a professional qualification is essential.
  • People management experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Financial modelling experience is desirable.
