Our client, a leader in the controls and automation sector, is currently seeking an OT Cyber Security Engineer to join their team in a permanent role. As an OT Cyber Security Engineer, you will analyse security requirements, conduct risk assessments, compliance analysis, and support the engineering team to create cyber security compliance for PRISMIC components/control systems. You will also collaborate with project, system engineering, and product management teams to identify standards requirements and compliance needs.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance PRISMIC control software ensuring compliance with cyber security standards for Windows & QNX platforms
  • Develop best practice, procedures, checklists, and implement security standards for control systems
  • Implement secure network protocols such as SSL/TLS, HTTPS, SSH, SFTP, and secure industrial protocols for PRISMIC control systems
  • Conduct and maintain ongoing threat analysis and risk assessment processes to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks for PRISMIC systems
  • Ensure high standards of software quality control using GitLab
  • Support project execution by preparing and reviewing technical specifications and providing applications engineering expertise for control system projects based on workload and priority
  • Actively participate in cross-functional activities, such as customer meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and project reviews


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in Cyber Security implementation within control systems (including risk assessment, encryption, password protection, security protocols, and IEC/international standards)
  • Proficiency in interpreting customer/cyber security standards requirements, network topology to create compliant solutions
  • Strong C++ programming experience
  • Knowledge of software-based microsystems/control and communication systems including Modbus, TCP-IP Ethernet, and network communications and its redundancy
  • Understanding of automation and control system cybersecurity standards such as IEC62443
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as QNX, Linux, and Windows
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A bachelor's degree in software, controls, or electrical engineering, or equivalent
