Your background as a Product Manager:
- Previous experience of working within a product manager, product management or very similar role.
- Any previous experience of products used within the rail sector or products that feature electronics / control systems / software / PLC controls / automation or similar would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in a competitive market.
- Ability to interpret market research and customer insights to drive product decisions.
- Strong understanding of product development processes, from concept to launch.
- Be able to work collaboratively with commercial teams, engineers, and global product management teams.
Product Manager responsibilities:
- The definition, optimisation, and technical support of a product family (hardware and software-based product) supplied into the rail sector approx. annual business unit t/o of £10m-12m.
- You will have the opportunity to work throughout the entire product lifecycle (from product discovery to end-of-life).
- You will translate the results of market analysis (customer and competitors) into new product ideas and technical solutions, working closely with product marketing, sales, and engineering teams.
- Develop, and execute product strategies, define product roadmaps, and pricing strategies to drive product differentiation and competitive advantage.
- Manage the launch of new products and provide product training and support to internal teams, customers, and distribution partners.
- As the company is part of a larger group you will also provide a regional link into the global product management team.
