Do you have a proven track record as a Product Manager or work within Product Management?

Your background as a Product Manager:


  • Previous experience of working within a product manager, product management or very similar role.
  • Any previous experience of products used within the rail sector or products that feature electronics / control systems / software / PLC controls / automation or similar would be advantageous.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products in a competitive market.
  • Ability to interpret market research and customer insights to drive product decisions.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, from concept to launch.
  • Be able to work collaboratively with commercial teams, engineers, and global product management teams.


Product Manager responsibilities:


  • The definition, optimisation, and technical support of a product family (hardware and software-based product) supplied into the rail sector approx. annual business unit t/o of £10m-12m.
  • You will have the opportunity to work throughout the entire product lifecycle (from product discovery to end-of-life).
  • You will translate the results of market analysis (customer and competitors) into new product ideas and technical solutions, working closely with product marketing, sales, and engineering teams.
  • Develop, and execute product strategies, define product roadmaps, and pricing strategies to drive product differentiation and competitive advantage.
  • Manage the launch of new products and provide product training and support to internal teams, customers, and distribution partners.
  • As the company is part of a larger group you will also provide a regional link into the global product management team.
