The Role
A qualified General Practice Chartered Surveyor is required to join a busy multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will handle a broad range of professional tasks across both commercial and residential sectors.
This role is based in the Rural North division, with offices in Atherstone and Ashby de la Zouch, and covers a wide geographical area. You will work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the department, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general professional advice, including rent reviews and lease renewals.
- Conduct Level 3 Building Surveys, Dilapidations, Party Wall Act services, and Defect Diagnostic Investigations.
- Handle property agency tasks such as preparing marketing reports, property listings, advertising, negotiations, and managing sales progression.
- Undertake RICS Red Book valuations on various properties.
- Draft pre-acquisition reports and compile demographic and comparable data.
- Assist with site appraisals and data management within internal systems.
- Ensure clients receive accurate and timely information to effectively manage their property portfolios.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients while contributing to business growth.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for property disposals (freehold and leasehold).
- Handle planning tasks, including the submission of planning applications.
- Work within a team to provide advice on development, option agreements, and promotion agreements.

Skills & Qualifications
- MRICS Qualified Surveyor.
- Registered RICS Valuer (preferred but not essential).
- Previous experience in agency, valuation, development, and compulsory purchase order (CPO) work.
- Confident networker capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organised, numerate, and comfortable with technology.
- Problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
