Our client, a leading organisation in the commercial insurance sector, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Executive to join their team. In this role, you will play a vital role in identifying new business leads and converting them into long-lasting customer relationships.

Please find all the details below:

Job title: Business Development Executive

Location: Ashford, Kent. Your own transport is required for very occasional holiday/cover in Tenterden and Dover.

Salary: £30,000

Hybrid: 12 days working from home per year, subject to Manager agreement, ensuring the offices can remain open for customers.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 09.00 - 17.00

Your responsibilities as the Business Development Executive would be to:

  • Proactively contributing to the development and execution of a comprehensive business development plan
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities to existing clients, introducing them to our client's range of financial services products
  • Researching and implementing effective communication methods to generate sales from new and existing clients
  • Representing our client at trade events, shows, and networking opportunities to generate new business leads
  • Building strong relationships with prospective clients, guiding them through the process from commitment to quote
  • Ensuring client data is accurate and up to date
  • Delivering exceptional levels of customer service, exceeding expectations at every opportunity

Requirements for this position:

  • Proven track record in highly driven and ambitious targeted business development and/or sales role.
  • Proven track record in business planning/ developing contact strategies.
  • Good understanding of business structures and commerciality.
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills , including networking skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of insurance industry.
  • Experience dealing with commercial business directors.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline.
  • Previous experience using MSD (CRM) systems
