Our client is a reputable construction and steel fabrication company committed to delivering high-quality projects. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Steel Erector's Mate.
Job Overview: As a Steel Erector's Mate, you will play a vital role in supporting our steel erection team in the installation and assembly of structural steel components. This position is ideal for someone who is physically fit, eager to learn, and has a passion for contributing to the construction of impressive structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist steel erectors in the assembly and installation of structural steel components.
- Transport and handle steel materials, ensuring proper placement and alignment.
- Operate hand and power tools under the guidance of experienced steel erectors.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve project milestones in a timely manner.
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a construction-related role is advantageous.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting and working at heights.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced steel erectors.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- CSCS or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Must have a driving license
