An Assistant Project Manager vacancy has arisen in dynamic Building Envelope Contractor. The Reymas Group is exclusively delivering this exciting recruitment assignment in partnership with our client.This Assistant Project Manager position supports the successful delivery of roofing projects across a wide portfolio. The role is crucial in managing schedules, maintaining documentation, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to ensure each project progresses efficiently and aligns with quality and safety standards.This opportunity will suit an individual that has some exposure in working a similar role within the Construction sector, but is now seeking an opportunity to progress their career. Package: £28,000–£35,000 + annual performance related bonus, company vehicle long-term stable employment, internal career progression, opportunity to develop multi-disciplinary construction knowledge Location: Various sites across London and surrounding area Role Overview The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside Project Managers to support the planning and execution of multiple roofing projects simultaneously. This role combines administrative support with on-site involvement, requiring an adaptable professional with strong organisational and communication skills. The position contributes to maintaining project schedules, sourcing materials, managing subcontractor performance, and promoting site safety standards. It offers significant development opportunities in both technical and leadership capacities. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate multiple roofing projects and manage labour, materials, and timelines
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including contracts, QA files, and drawings
  • Communicate project updates clearly with clients, contractors, and internal teams
  • Assist with site inspections and ensure roofing specifications are followed
  • Prioritise scheduling and adapt plans in response to delays or weather
  • Monitor quality control and flag discrepancies early
  • Support procurement and alternative sourcing to maintain budgets
  • Track and manage invoices and budget variations due to design changes
  • Collaborate effectively with contractors and site operatives
  • Contribute to site safety by ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Maintain strong client communication throughout and post-project
  • Take initiative in the absence of the Project Manager
  • Oversee smaller tasks such as scheduling and materials coordination
  • Assist in managing subcontractor performance to ensure quality and compliance
  • Support warranty and insurance documentation handling post-completion
 Experience & Skills Required
  • Organisational ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail in quality and specification adherence
  • Time management skills and adaptability to changing schedules
  • Problem-solving aptitude for on-site issues and material sourcing
  • Basic knowledge of roofing systems and site-specific challenges (training provided)
  • Familiarity with software such as Excel for scheduling and budget tracking
  • Experience using or willingness to learn digital document management systems
  • Understanding of construction budgeting, cost tracking, and invoice management
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and offer on-site support
  • Awareness of roofing safety standards and protocols
  • Focus on client satisfaction and service
  • Flexibility to travel to various job sites across the UK
  • Full UK driving licence required
