About the RoleWe are looking for a passionate and qualified Nursery Nurse (Level 3) to join our welcoming and vibrant team in Ashford, Headcorn. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting the early development of children aged 0-5 years, providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and education, working in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high standard of care and education to children in line with the EYFS guidelines.
  • Assist in planning and implementing activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care, following safeguarding procedures.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing information with parents.
  • Support children in developing independence and confidence in daily routines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe nursery environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Promote positive behavior management techniques.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a fun and engaging learning environment.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and policies.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children in an early years setting is essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
  • A current DBS check or willingness to undertake one.
  • First Aid qualification is desirable but not essential.
