About the Role

We're seeking a compassionate SEN Teacher to support Early Years children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). These young learners face a range of challenges, including communication difficulties, cognitive delays, sensory impairments, and physical needs. Your role will be pivotal in creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth, confidence, and joy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, play-based activities tailored to developmental milestones and individual needs.
  • Use creative communication strategies, such as Makaton, AAC, or sensory cues, to build meaningful interactions.
  • Collaborate with therapists and support staff to implement effective sensory and physical support plans.
  • Build a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued, safe, and encouraged to explore their potential.
  • Monitor and assess progress, using your insights to refine learning strategies and approaches.
  • Work closely with families, ensuring a collaborative and consistent approach to each child's development.
