Reporting into the Senior Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Build and maintain proactive partnerships with customer Technical Teams and Tier 1 suppliers, driving collaboration and trust.
* Ensure all products meet food safety, quality standards, and retailer specifications, swiftly managing any non-conformances, withdrawals, or recalls.
* Oversee customer product specifications, Quality Attribute Sheets, and artwork approvals, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance.
* Lead thorough investigations into customer complaints, pesticide exceedances, and microbiological issues, providing effective corrective and preventative actions.
* Manage supplier due diligence processes, maintaining approved supplier and variety lists while ensuring all partners meet the highest standards.
* Support supplier sustainability plans and ethical compliance, working closely with internal teams to champion continuous improvement and responsible sourcing.
* Monitor, report, and act on customer and technical KPIs, using data-driven insights to enhance product quality and service.
* Organise and attend supplier crop walks, factory visits, and first production runs, ensuring transparency and quality throughout the supply chain.
* Work hand-in-hand with Commercial, Procurement, and Innovation teams to support new product launches and strengthen supplier relationships.
* Contribute to wider business development initiatives, supporting tenders, projects, and seasonal peaks to drive growth.
About you:
* Proven track record in a similar role in food manufacturing or fresh produce is required
* Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas
