Transport Manager

Our well-established client working within the waste industry are looking to onboard a reliable and experienced Transport Manager to join their team!

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that all vehicles in the fleet are regularly maintained and roadworthy
- Performing regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Assigning and overseeing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks
- Ensuring that all drivers are properly trained and qualified
- Maintaining accurate records for each vehicle and the cargo transported
- Overseeing the planning and scheduling of routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery and collection deadlines
- Monitoring transportation costs and finding ways to reduce expenses
- Managing all aspects of the O Licence including legal compliance, tachograph rules and driver infringements
- Dealing with driver disciplinaries where necessary
- Overseeing all health and safety requirements
- Managing all levels of fleet maintenance and scheduling repairs when necessary
Requirements:
- Experience within a similar role is essential
- Transport Management CPC
- Experience overseeing all aspects of health and safety
- Results driven
- Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
- Team Player
