Transport Manager

£45k - £60k DOE

Our well-established client working within the waste industry are looking to onboard a reliable and experienced Transport Manager to join their team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and well renowned organisation and be part of a growing business where hard work and dedication is rewarded. Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all vehicles in the fleet are regularly maintained and roadworthy
  • Performing regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Assigning and overseeing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring that all drivers are properly trained and qualified
  • Maintaining accurate records for each vehicle and the cargo transported
  • Overseeing the planning and scheduling of routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery and collection deadlines
  • Monitoring transportation costs and finding ways to reduce expenses
  • Managing all aspects of the O Licence including legal compliance, tachograph rules and driver infringements
  • Dealing with driver disciplinaries where necessary
  • Overseeing all health and safety requirements
  • Managing all levels of fleet maintenance and scheduling repairs when necessary

Requirements:

  • Experience within a similar role is essential
  • Transport Management CPC
  • Experience overseeing all aspects of health and safety
  • Results driven
  • Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
  • Team Player
