Our client a global supplier of ingredients and premix manufacturing solutions for the food and beverage industry is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Inventory Manager with a food or FMCG background for their site in Kent. The successful candidate will ensure there are effective and efficient Warehouse Management & Inventory Management processes to limit stock loss, limit production changes and to identify cost saving opportunities through CI Projects. The main day to day responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement stock strategies across the site
  • Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system to accurately monitor stock levels.
  • develop and maintain effective KPI's
  • Ensure Warehouse operational costs fall within budget and are checked accordingly approved quotations. Keeping records accurate on quotation control report for any Warehouse expenses and service providers.
  • Ensure effective stock control, stock rotation, stock shelf life and ensuring Warehouse capacities are fit for the business.
  • Carrying out physical stock checks as and when required and ensure that any stock anomalies are investigated thoroughly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that all lines of information flow between internal and external parties is maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Management of and reduction of expiring stock as per finance approved expired report.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Procurement, Production and Customer Support teams to ensure the best service.
  • Manage contractual agreements and SLAs to ensure all relevant legal terms are agreed between the company and suppliers.
  • Ensure suppliers are working to SLAs and poor performance, quality or service is addressed accordingly, keep control of KPI records.
  • Conduct spend analysis for the site and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Ensure KPI's are meaningful and deliver continuous improvement to the function/site.
  • Preparing reports and advising on strategies to reduce cost and improve procedures.
  • Maintaining an accurate inventory records in the system as per physical stock in the warehouses internal and external.
  • Working closely with other relevant departments to organise the efficient flow of inventory.
  • Ensure processes, procedures and governance is compiled and followed at all times.
  • Provide management and leadership to the Warehouse team.
  • Ensure development plans are in place for each of the team.
  • Managing individual performance of team members.
  • Engage with a support site projects where appropriate.
