Production Manager

Location: Ashford

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our production department. The successful candidate will manage personnel, equipment, and resources for customer-specific, one-off manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production team and workshop areas, including maintenance and organisation
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to manage production schedules and meet contract deadlines
  • Ensure production stays within budget and maintain quality control standards
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and the admin department for shipments and cost estimates
  • Implement the Company Safety Policy and maintain a safe working environment
  • Attend management meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Requirements:

  • A background in engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety in a workshop setting
  • Experience in planning production schedules for large-scale projects
  • Excellent organisational skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in preparing equipment for international shipping
