JOB- Production Manager
LOCATION- Ashford
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join our clients dynamic team in Ashford. Our client operates in the manufacturing sector, producing high-quality products for various industries. They are seeking a highly organized and experienced Production Manager to oversee daily production operations and ensure efficiency across the manufacturing floor.

The Production Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management (BEng, HND, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of production management principles and manufacturing processes
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets
The Production Manager role will involve:
  • Overseeing the day-to-day production operations to ensure efficiency and product quality
  • Managing a team of production staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
  • Planning and organizing production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery
  • Monitoring production KPIs and implementing process improvements to optimize output
  • Collaborating with other departments such as quality control, maintenance, and supply chain to address production challenges
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively to achieve production goals
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs
