Quality Assurance Officer

Ashford – 5 days on site  

35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

£35k-£45k dependent on experience

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is delighted to be exclusively representing a leading organisation based in Ashford, in their search for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer.

This role requires a compliance professional with a meticulous attention to detail and a calm, confident methodical approach.

Working as part of a small team, key duties include

  • Carrying out internal audits, ensuring adherence to relevant standards (ISO 17024)
  • Regularly reviewing audit reports and communicating amendments to internal and external stakeholders
  • Investigation of and reporting on non-conformities
  • Extensive collation and analysis of data
  • Providing and preparing reports, presentations and recommendations to the wider team
  • Process mapping
  • Delivering training
  • Supporting stakeholders bother internal and external by offering guidance and advice where appropriate
  • Accurate document control including drafting, reviewing, storage and distribution
  • Any other duties as required

To be considered, you will have:

  • A proven track record working in an analytical quality role
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and processes
  • Carried out process mapping in a previous role
  • A meticulous attention to detail
  • An excellent grasp of the English language, both written and verbal
  • The ability to use Excel to analyse data and present findings clearly
  • Good personal presentation skills
  • Experience delivering training
  • Managed projects previously
  • Some experience of risk assessments
  • A cool, calm, methodical approach, even under pressure
  • Worked with external agencies, membership organisations or professional bodies, ensuring compliance with regulations, specifications or standards
  • Demonstrable experience in the management and implementation of quality management systems.

The BEST candidates will have:

  • Experience of the following quality management systems: ISO 17024; ISO 17021; ISO 9001
  • A professional auditor qualification/certification
  • Worked within a manufacturing, engineering or pharmaceutical discipline
