My client is a leading M&E contractor seeking an electrically biased Assistant Project Manager to join the team in a permanent role. Specialising in commercial and industrial MEP installations, predominantly carrying out electrical design, installation and commissioning, they offer a range of services including building, electrical, plumbing and maintenance, working on unique commercial and industrial projects.

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Managers and the wider project team in organising, implementing, and maintaining project activities. You will be proactive, organised, reliable, and detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Assistant Project Manager (Electrical Bias) Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers in the preparation and coordination of project documentation, including contracts, proposals, and project schedules.
  • Maintain and update project tracking tools, databases, and records.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, site visits, and project timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project components.
  • Support the project team in the procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Handle administrative duties for active projects.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular project updates and status reports to project managers and clients.
  • Assist with financial tasks, including tracking project budgets, processing invoices, and preparing financial reports.

Assistant Project Manager (Electrical Bias) Requirements:

  • Electrically biased background
  • Knowledge of MEP systems and construction
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
  • Basic understanding of using AutoCAD (Desirable)
