About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Liaison Officer. This vital role involves building strong relationships with families, supporting them to overcome challenges, and ensuring the well-being and success of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact between the school and families, fostering positive and supportive relationships.
- Provide advice, guidance, and practical support to families facing difficulties, including attendance, behaviour, and emotional challenges.
- Work closely with staff to identify students and families requiring additional support and implement tailored action plans.
- Collaborate with external agencies and services to ensure families have access to the resources they need.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality in all matters.
- Promote parental engagement in school life, organising workshops, meetings, and events to strengthen the home-school partnership
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role, social work, or family support.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with families and colleagues.
- Empathy, resilience, and a solution-focused approach.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
