We are currently seeking a dedicated and ambitious Resource Coordinator to join our well-established rail team in Ashford, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in the rail industry and experience in recruitment who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will play a key role in ensuring the successful fulfilment of client requirements while helping to grow and strengthen our client and contractor network.

What You'll Be Doing

Labour Delivery and Workforce Management

  • Managing the end-to-end process of supplying skilled contractors to meet client demands within specified timeframes.
  • Building and maintaining a reliable network of candidates through proactive outreach, including online advertising, job boards, social media, and direct sourcing.
  • Conducting candidate screening and interviews to assess suitability, competency, and experience for safety-critical roles.
  • Coordinating training and development for contractors to ensure they meet industry and client standards.
  • Managing workforce deployment, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of workforce availability, training certifications, and compliance.

Client Relationship Management

  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring their labour requirements are met efficiently and professionally.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Attending client meetings to understand their workforce needs and challenges, providing tailored solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and secure additional business.
  • Providing expert advice to clients on labour availability, market trends, and workforce planning.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensuring all activities comply with Ganymede’s management systems and HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental) policies.
  • Conducting safety briefings and ensuring that all contractors are fully aware of site-specific safety requirements.
  • Verifying the right to work and sponsorship status of all operatives before deployment.
  • Supporting site safety audits and addressing any issues raised to maintain compliance with industry regulations.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and accountability among the workforce.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a motivated and organised individual with experience in the rail industry and recruitment. The ideal candidate will be commercially aware, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term relationships with both clients and contractors.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Previous experience in the rail industry, ideally within a recruitment or workforce management role.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain a network of skilled contractors.
  • Experience in sourcing and recruiting candidates through job boards, social media, and direct outreach.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills – confident in working with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset – able to handle challenges and find effective solutions.
  • A team player with a collaborative approach, committed to helping the team achieve its goals.
