MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious precision engineering/manufacturing client,

based in Ashington, by recruiting a permanent CNC Machine Operator to join their growing team. You will be responsible for producing bespoke engineering parts for use in a variety of sectors. The role will provide full training on their machines. If you are an experienced CNC Machine Operator and looking for your next career move, apply now for an immediate response.

This role will be working a double days shift pattern, 06:00- 14:00, and 14:00- 22:30, Monday to Thursday and 06:00-13:00, 13:00- 18:00, Fridays- There may also be available for Nightshifts, 22:30-06:00 Monday to Thursday and 21:00- 06:00 on Sundays

The job you will do

  • Set and operate Mazak CNC machine centres.
  • Program and use Mazatrol and ISO languages.
  • Develop machining procedure, including supporting documentation.
  • Follow proven manufacturing processes via Work Instructions & Tooling Sheets.
  • Maintain quality of components to high tolerances throughout machining process.
  • Maintain satisfactory output levels.
  • To work unsupervised.
  • To always work with due regard to Health & Safety requirements
  • To ensure that good housekeeping prevails within area of work

About you:

  • Ability to read, understand and work to Engineering drawings
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
  • You will hold a ONC Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent EITB or C&G)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to use dedicated inspection equipment, SPC procedures and method sheets
