SEMH Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Salary: £75 - £110 per day

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an SEMH Teaching Assistant at a wonderful primary school in Ashington!
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding position where you can truly make a positive impact.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support classroom teachers in managing student behaviour.
- Encourage and motivate students to engage in their learning.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant in a primary setting or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
