About the Role:

GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated Art and Design Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Ashington. As an integral member of our team, Art and Design Teacher will have the chance to inspire and empower students to explore the boundless possibilities of visual arts.

Role of an Art and Design Teacher:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons that promote creativity and artistic skill development.
  • Encourage students to express themselves through various mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and inspired to explore their artistic talents.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience and contribute to the school's artistic community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in Art and Design or related field.
  • Experience teaching art to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for art education and a commitment to fostering creativity in young learners.
