Responsibilities as an Art and Design Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art and Design lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Encourage students to explore their creativity and express themselves through different mediums.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that promotes student participation.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to enhance the art and design curriculum.

To be a successful Art and Design Teacher, you should:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Have experience as an Art and Design Teacher in a school setting.
  • Possess strong subject knowledge in Art and Design and the ability to teach across key stages.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Have the ability to inspire students and make learning fun and engaging.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
