Seeking an insightful leader to serve as Joint Chair, driving strategic innovation and collaboration in healthcare for nearly 800,000 residents.

We are Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and Tameside & Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, two of the largest employers in South East Greater Manchester. Together, we serve nearly 800,000 residents across Stockport, Tameside, East Cheshire, Glossop, and the High Peak in Derbyshire and beyond. With over 9,500 dedicated professionals and a combined turnover of approximately £700 million, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and improving health outcomes.

Our Trusts share a developing collaboration, driven by a mission to enhance patient care, improve health results, and ensure the sustainability of our services. We are now seeking to appoint a Joint Chair to strengthen this partnership and support our integrated approach to healthcare.

As Joint Chair, you will be at the forefront of strategic innovation, guiding both Trusts toward closer collaboration. Working with our Joint Chief Executive, Karen James, and our Boards and Councils of Governors, your leadership will be essential in providing ethical, compassionate, and inclusive direction, fostering a healthy, open, and transparent culture. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, including patients, staff, and partner organisations, and lead the development of governance processes to enable further cooperation between the two Trusts.

We are looking for an insightful leader with a proven track record in strategy and governance within a complex healthcare environment. Your ability to inspire and support diverse teams, combined with a deep commitment to patient care and service excellence, is crucial.

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced leader to make a significant impact on the future of healthcare in our communities. If you are passionate about delivering exemplary healthcare and have the strategic acumen to guide two dynamic organisations, we would love to hear from you.
