Our client is seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join their dynamic team. This role offers an excellent salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 and is based in Tameside. As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely management accounts for all sites. You will lead a team of management accountants, ensure effective consolidation of financial data, and provide insights to support business decisions.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of our client's operations. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely management accounts for all sites. You will also lead a team of management accountants, ensuring effective consolidation of financial data. Your insights will be crucial in supporting business decisions. Additionally, you will lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with site managers and operational teams to build realistic budgets. Your role will also involve presenting financial results to senior leadership, providing strategic recommendations based on financial data.

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all sites.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process alongside the FP&A Manager.
  • Provide financial support and advice to site managers and operational teams.
  • Present financial results to senior leadership providing strategic recommendations based on financial data.
  • Lead and develop a team of management accountants.
  • Drive improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the management accounting process.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS) and internal financial controls.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position brings a wealth of experience along with ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications. You have spent at least one year post-qualification honing your skills in a similar role. You have proven experience in preparing and overseeing management accounts, financial reporting, and budgeting. Your strong analytical skills enable you to provide clear insights and recommendations based on financial data. You are an excellent communicator, able to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with at least 1 year of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in preparing and overseeing management accounts, financial reporting, and budgeting.
