Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons to KS3 and KS4 students with SEND. The role involves:

  • Creating engaging and supportive learning environments tailored to individual student needs.
  • Using assessment tools like Boxall Profiles to track academic and emotional progress.
  • Delivering a broad curriculum, including literacy, numeracy, humanities, and enrichment subjects.
  • Coordinating with support staff and external specialists (e.g., SaLT, CAMHS) to enhance student progress.
  • Supporting the SENCo in EHC Plan development and small group interventions.
  • Collaborating with parents, carers, and agencies to provide holistic support.
Key Requirements:
  • Essential: QTS, experience teaching KS3/KS4, and experience working with SEND or SEMH students.
  • Desirable: NPQ/Management qualification, experience with external agencies, and familiarity with BROMCOM/CPOMS.
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to support positive behaviour.
