Role: History teacher (A Level) Location: Greater Manchester Type: Long term, Full time, temporary Rate: £30 - £35 per hour Eden Brown are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated A Level History Lecturer to join a leading Sixth Form College on a temporary, full-time basis.(36 hours per week) The Role is based in Greater Manchester and is to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year. As an A Level History Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching history at A Level, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, and inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of the subject. You will work collaboratively with other teaching staff and contribute to the department's success.
This position is ideal for someone who has a strong academic background in History and a passion for helping students succeed. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, deliver, and assess lessons for A Level History students in line with the curriculum. * Provide high-quality teaching that motivates and challenges students. * Track and monitor student progress, offering support where needed to ensure achievement. * Prepare and grade assignments, coursework, and exams. * Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development. Essential Qualifications and Skills: * A degree in History (or a closely related subject). * QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred but not essential). * Experience teaching History at A Level is essential * Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students. * Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
