Principal Capital Project Manager | Permanent | Greater Manchester | £62,215 - £72,293 

Client:

We are currently recruiting for a Principal Capital Projects Manager to join a large Public Sector organisation in the Greater Manchester region. This is a key role which holds responsibility for providing leadership and management of the Trust’s Estate Capital Development and Delivery Programme, and the line management of the Estates Capital Projects Team.

The role will require a highly capable professional with a background of working within large complex organisations, with a track-record of successful delivery of capital projects - preferably within a healthcare environment.

Role:

Responsibilities will include;

  • Will be responsible for devising, co-ordinating and managing programmes of work in a timely and effective manner
  • Lead and manage external contractors
  • Contribute to the overall management of the Capital team through participation in business planning, management team meetings and specific projects
  • Monitor and manage contract performance and delivery, both by internal staff and contractors
  • Day to day cost management

The successful candidate will have;

  • Significant experience within a Capital related leadership role – ideally with exposure to working within public buildings or healthcare estates
  • The successful candidate will possess a significant amount of statutory compliance knowledge and strategic leadership whilst maintaining a close focus on the financial budget and specialist estates/capital requirements
  • Ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervision
