Hays Healthcare are actively recruiting Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Tameside. The ideal candidate for this job will have experience of providing holistic treatment to patients of all age groups, helping them improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.

Your new job as an Occupational Therapist

  • Required to provide assessment and rehabilitation in patient's homes across the Older Adult service in Tameside.
  • This is located in 2 inpatient wards and within the community.
  • Undertake assessments to aid discharge planning from the wards and supporting people to live safely in their homes
  • Including working with older adults with both organic and functional mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of MOHO assessments & tools would be beneficial.

What you'll need to succeed in this job

  • A BSc or diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered Occupational Therapist with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Member of RCOT
  • Experience working with individuals and groups with a range of complex presentations in an inpatient and day patient setting
