Quality Manager (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Southampton

Are you an assertive Quality Manager with experience in a highly regulated industry such as Aerospace, Defence, Missile Manufacturing, Medical, or Pharmaceuticals? If you’re seeking a pivotal role in a fast-growing organization with the lowest return rates in the industry, this could be the opportunity for you!
In this role, you’ll have the autonomy to manage and develop your own department, with direct access to the CEO. You’ll shape the future direction and recruitment strategy of the quality department while ensuring the business needs are met and maintaining top-notch defect return rates.
Our client is a well-established, medium-sized aerospace manufacturer recognized for its high-quality products supplied to renowned aeronautical brands. As they continue to grow, they are committed to upholding their industry-leading quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality department
  • Ensure timely delivery of quality standards
  • Build and develop a high-performing team
  • Drive a culture of “right first time” across all products
  • Oversee First Article Inspection Reports
  • Maintain and update the Quality Manual
  • Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and EN9100 standards
  • Balance quality demands with business needs
  • Supervise operators and verify each production step

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00
Friday: 08:30 - 13:30
The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager in a highly regulated industry
  • Ability to commute to Southampton or willingness to relocate (reasonable relocation assistance available)
  • Existing right to work in the UK without sponsorship
