Plant Operator

Alecto Recruitment is providing an opportunity for a Plant operator to assist in the daily operations of an Anaerobic Digestion facility. The successful candidate will carry out minor maintenance, operate the plant and ensure the plant is running to maximum capacity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Working on a 4 on/ 4 off shift pattern assisting with day to day operations on the Anaerobic Digestion plant.
  • Covering a call out rota to ensure the plant has cover.
  • Using DCS or SCADA system to ensure the plant is operating as it should.
  • Visual plant and equipment fault finding.
  • Performing maintenance activities, such as isolating and changing a pump.
  • Daily site inspections will be needed to be carried out to ensure downtime is minimised.
  • Keeping the site clean and tidy.
  • Working to provide positive site operations and looking for continuous improvement opportunities on site.

Skills and Qualification:

  • A qualification in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline would be ideal.
  • Takes full ownership of tasks to achieve the highest standards of work at all times.
  • AD site experience is desirable.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
