Supply Desk are proud to be working alongside this ‘Good’ primary school in the heart of Aylesbury. The school is based on a large site with excellent facilities and on-site parking for staff. At this school, staff and parents work together to maintain a happy, structured environment in which all children are encouraged to achieve their full potential as they develop both academically and socially. They believe in promoting self-respect, confidence and a sense of responsibility for themselves, others and the world around them.

Applicants will ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, but experienced nursery TA’s or general SEN experience will be considered. Applicants must have a DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.

 

The role:

  • To work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and, within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom
  • Helps individual pupils or groups of pupils to access the differentiated curriculum, including assisting with the planning and preparation of learning activities
  • Monitors and is responsive to pupils’ learning and behaviour at all times by adjusting supervised activities
  • Communicates effectively with teachers, other professionals and parents whenever the needs arise and recognises the need to communicate
