Our client, a well-established medical devices establishment and is seeking to recruit an experienced Electronics Design Engineer with a strong background in electronics development for medical device products.

Role OverviewThe Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for the electronics aspect of product design, addressing market needs, product quality trends, troubleshooting, and complaint resolution. A key objective will be to optimize the electronics in both current and future product designs, ensuring compliance with business and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate must demonstrate expertise in physics, electronics, electrical engineering, and product design, particularly in the medical devices sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or a related discipline (preferred).

Experience and Skills

  • Strong foundation in electronics with formal qualifications and practical experience.
  • Broad technical expertise, including analogue and digital electronics, embedded software, medical physics, and programming.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing electronics in relevant industries, with specific experience in designing cost-effective electronics for disposable medical devices.
  • Thorough understanding of regulations governing medical devices.
  • Proficiency in PCB layout and shape design, collaborating with industrial designers, biologists, and business partners.
  • Effective team player with strong collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Proactive problem-solver with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and experience in entrepreneurial, fast-paced environments.
