Supply Desk is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Teacher to join a primary school in the Stoke Mandeville area. As an EYFS Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and care to children in their early years, ensuring a strong foundation for their future learning and development.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons based on the EYFS curriculum
  • Create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment that supports children's social, emotional, and intellectual development
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and collaboration
  • Assess and monitor children's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions
  • Provide individualised support to children with additional needs, working closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other professionals
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development, achievements, and incidents, ensuring confidentiality and data protection
  • Collaborate with other EYFS teachers and staff to share best practices, resources, and ideas for continuous improvement
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required
  • Keep up to date with current trends, research, and developments in early years education

 

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a relevant field (PGCE or QTS desirable)
  • Proven experience as an EYFS Teacher, preferably within a school or nursery setting
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of children
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment
