The OpportunityJoin a well-established and growing firm of chartered accountants, offering the chance for career progression. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Senior Accountant to make an impact and progress into senior leadership.

About the RoleBased in the scenic village of Woburn Sands, the firm has been supporting over 400 businesses with accounting, taxation, and audit services since 1999. The role offers variety, managing a portfolio of clients, preparing company accounts, and providing expert tax advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete company accounts in line with firm policies and technical requirements.
  • Manage client relationships, handling queries and offering ongoing support.
  • Perform VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts.
  • Supervise junior staff and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of work.
  • Use accounting software such as MS Office, Sage, Xero, and IRIS (advantageous).

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, current standards, and tax frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Xero, Sage, MS Office, and IRIS.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive and eager to embrace changes in the accounting profession.
