IT Support Engineer required by my leading client in Aylesbury

  • Provide first and second-line IT support to staff
  • Maintain, update, and monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage IT administration tasks, including user account setup, asset tracking, and MIS support.
  • Create and update IT documentation, user guides, and help materials.
  • Oversee IT hardware replacement cycles to maintain system efficiency.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects.

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical support role.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes.

Technical Skills:

  • Configuration and troubleshooting of:
    • Microsoft client and server operating systems.
    • Active Directory & Group Policy.
    • Microsoft 365 administration.
    • Networking, including DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.
    • Wireless networks, web filtering, and antivirus management.
    • IT infrastructure and cloud-based systems.
  • Commitment to professional development and keeping up to date with industry trends.
  • Must be able to drive as limited transport links / undergo a DBS check and possess the right to work in the UK
