Account Manager - Facilities ProcurementLocation: Denham, Uxbridge (Onsite with one day WFH flexibility)

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead the procurement of goods and services within the facilities management domain. This role requires expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management, ensuring all activities align with budgetary and organisational objectives. You'll collaborate across departments to optimise procurement processes, drive efficiency, and support high-profile projects related to facilities and site management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for suppliers, managing relationships, resolving invoice anomalies, and overseeing credits.
  • Handle purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with procedures and delegated authorities, including sourcing activities, due diligence, and contract management.
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance against KPIs (Quality, Cost, Delivery) while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Develop and implement commodity strategies, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with preferred supplier lists.
  • Conduct tendering and RFX exercises using e-sourcing tools, supporting supply chain strategies and addressing delivery challenges.
  • Partner with internal teams to understand procurement needs, ensuring delivery of products, services, and materials to the required technical and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and competitor activity, proactively addressing risks such as obsolescence or changes in supplier ownership.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Degree qualified or CIPS certified.
  • Experience: Extensive background in facilities procurement across categories such as building construction, health & safety regulations, and governmental standards.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities.
    • Commercial acumen with proven negotiation and contract management skills.
    • Expertise in stakeholder management, with experience in large or multi-site facilities.
  • Preferred Background: Automotive, medical, healthcare, or construction industries.
