Description
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
- Identify and research potential new suppliers
- Manage procurement activities related to cost reduction initiatives
- Prepare and execute proposals, requests for proposals, and other documentation related to the procurement of goods and services
- Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential cost down and improvement opportunities
- Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice, prices and quantity discrepancies
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to the organisation's policies and guidelines
Profile
A successful Sourcing Manager should have:
- An educational background in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field
- Prior experience in a similar role within the Public Sector
- Strong negotiating and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proficient knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
