We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major civils/infrastructure project for HS2. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity to work for a Tier 1 main contractor, with flexible working arrangements based in Aylesbury and Chipping Warden. The candidate can commute to either location, with the role offering hybrid working options.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial management of a high-value, large-scale civils/infrastructure project. The project forms part of the HS2 development, and the role will require close collaboration with a diverse team to ensure effective cost control, timely reporting, and successful project delivery in line with NEC contract requirements.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Oversee all commercial aspects of the HS2 civils/infrastructure project
  • Manage cost reporting, forecasting, and contractual obligations under the NEC form of contract
  • Collaborate with the project team to address any financial risks and opportunities
  • Handle variations and payments, ensuring smooth commercial operations
  • Work closely with the client and stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve any issues
  • Provide hands-on support while adapting to the challenging and fast-paced project environment

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor
