We have several fantastic temporary positions available working with our client Buckinghamshire Council!OverviewOn behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Strategy and Funding Officer to join the Skills Partnership team in Aylesbury. Working alongside the Skills Partnership Lead, you will build, develop and lead the delivery of an innovative employability tool for individuals seeking support to find work or a better job. This will include developing an extensive understanding of existing programmes of support in Buckinghamshire, working with and through partners to understand what works, what is duplicated and where there are gaps in provision, if any.Temporary – Until 9 May 2025 with potential to extendHours – Monday to Friday – 37 hours per weekPay Rate – £24.78 per hour PAYEStart Date – ASAPWork Schedule – Hybrid working with 2 days in the officeLocation – Walton Street, Aylesbury HP20 1UAAbout the roleAs a Senior Strategy and Funding Officer, you will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:Programme management of the Connect to Work programme, including:
  • Attending the project board, taking notes and actions, following up actions as required
  • Attendance at regular meetings with central Government
  • Collating and developing the required procurement documents including the specification, terms and conditions, method statement and pricing forms.
Programme management of the Buckinghamshire Employment Support Tool programme, including:
  • Manage the development of the Tool with Buckinghamshire College Group – including weekly meetings to track progress and raise any challenges
  • Book the launch event including liaising with an external company to host and ensuring payment is completed by 31 March 2025
  • Work with the marketing team to book in the future marketing campaign, ensuring all payments are committed by 31 March 2025 with invoices to follow (and tracked) in April.
  • Provide regular updates to the Opportunity Bucks Jobs, Employability and Skills Theme.
About youThe successful candidate(s) should have:
  • Programme management experience including working with internal and external stakeholders, tracking finances and holding performance to account
  • Experience of skills and employment programmes – for example Skills Bootcamps, RESTART, Jets, or other local provision which supports individuals to gain skills and enter employment
  • Excellent administrative skills including note taking, booking meetings, using online filing structures and responding to enquiries.
  • Local authority experience is desirable
  • Must be a car driver to attend occasional external meetings
