Your new company
Our client is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing quality short break activities, supporting families and children aged 0-19 with disabilities. They aim to provide a safe and happy childhood for every child and young person in the country.

Your new role
As a childrens services worker, your responsibilities include delivering interventions, maintaining effective relationships, and ensuring positive outcomes for children, young people, and families. You'll work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures, prioritising child protection and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality services based on assessed needs and outcomes.
  • Deliver interventions individually or in group settings.
  • Foster effective communication with colleagues, children, and families.
  • Stay vigilant about child protection issues.
  • Participate actively in multi-agency meetings.
  • Organise daily work objectives and maintain accurate records.
  • Guide and manage staff and volunteers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.

Term time hours - 8.5 per week - to be worked over the following shifts: Saturday (all day), Tuesday or Thursday evenings 4pm - 9pm
School Holidays - 37 per week or adhoc basis between 8.45am - 5.15pm
Rota/hours to be discussed at interview to meet the needs of the services

What you'll need to succeed

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (e.g., early years, youth work)
  • Experience in health, early years, or social care settings
  • Ability to engage with children, young people, and families
  • Awareness of safeguarding procedures
  • Outcome-based approach to planning and service delivery
  • Effective time management and flexibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and other IT tools

You will need to have a valid Enhanced DBS already registered on the update service.
