About Education BoutiqueEducation Boutique is a specialist tuition provider offering bespoke, high-quality educational support for learners with a wide range of needs. We partner with families, schools, and local authorities across the UK to provide meaningful academic interventions, particularly for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our work is deeply rooted in trauma-informed practice, flexible provision, and learner-centred support.
The RoleWe are currently recruiting two experienced tutors to deliver in-person 2:1 academic support for students with complex needs in Aylesbury. This provision will run Monday to Friday, for 5 hours per day (25 hours total per week), starting 22nd April 2025, immediately after the Easter holidays.
Tutors will support students working at Key Stage 2-3 levels in core subjects, with an emphasis on building confidence, engagement, and academic skills through trauma-informed and highly personalised teaching approaches.
Key Responsibilities-
Deliver in-person, engaging academic support across core subjects (Maths, English, Science) tailored to KS2-KS3 learners

Work collaboratively in a 2:1 setting, planning and adapting sessions to support individual learning goals

Employ trauma-informed strategies to support pupils with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), SEN, and EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) profiles

Build trusting, consistent relationships to promote emotional regulation and positive learning experiences

Monitor progress and contribute to reports for families and commissioning bodies

Proven experience supporting learners with SEN, PDA, and EBSA needs

Strong knowledge of core subjects at Key Stage 2-3 level

Trauma-informed training or demonstrable experience working in emotionally sensitive settings

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
