The school is seeking a PMLD Specialist SEN Teacher to support students with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and staff to plan and deliver engaging, tailored activities for PMLD students.
- Develop holistic learning approaches, focusing on individual strategies to support meaningful progress.
- Lead in creating and reviewing Individual Education/Behaviour Plans, Risk Assessments, and Therapy Care programmes.
- Work in partnership with families, external agencies, and school staff to provide comprehensive support.
- Build therapeutic relationships with students, adapting interactions to meet their unique needs.
- Experience teaching students with PMLD or a passion for supporting those with complex needs.
- Strong knowledge of SEN and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
- Flexibility to work full-time or part-time, with fixed working days.
- A valid, clear DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Relevant training or qualifications in supporting students with learning difficulties.
