Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, the site is part of a larger national organisation. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for a Welder Fabricator to join their site services & utilities team.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all company equipment and loose assets - fabrication & repairs of racks, moulds etc.
  • Work closely & support the site services / utilities team with any additional tasks
  • Welding - MiG, TiG, Stick
  • Mainly welding stainless steel and sometimes mild steel
  • Mechanical fabrication & general fitting work and repairs
  • Installation & fitting of pipework
  • Workshop tasks when needed - milling, turning, use of lathes
  • Supporting other team members with training on various welding techniques and tasks

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Must be an experience welder and fabricator
  • Ideally have worked in the food manufacturing industry
  • Welding - must be able to do MiG, TiG & Stick
  • Able to use Oxy Acetylene equipment
  • Strong, proactive & effective communication skills
  • If previously been a coded welder that would be great
  • Must be able to mark up and fabricate own work
  • Happy to help in other areas of site services & utilities team - maintenance, breakdowns etc.
  • Any previous experience of manual machining - milling, turning, grinding would be beneficial
