HR Manager

Office Based – Full Time

Permanent - Mid Kent

Pearson Whiffin are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Manager on behalf of our client based in Mid Kent. We are looking for a patient and confident individual with strong HR function experience who has handled a variety of complex ER cases and is passionate about building a positive and people-focused workplace culture.

Duties:

  • Manage a range of employee relations (ER) cases, providing sound advice and ensuring fair and consistent outcomes
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape and nurture a positive, inclusive workplace culture
  • Provide HR guidance across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding
  • Analyse HR data and systems to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and best practice
  • Lead on the implementation and optimisation of HRIS and other HR systems, ensuring seamless integration and user adoption
  • Coordinate and manage all responsibilities across recruitment, HR administration, and advisory functions, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and consistent support to both employees and managers
  • Act as a calm and approachable presence within the business, supporting managers and employees with confidence and empathy
  • Manage and support the HR team, providing clear direction, coaching, and fostering a collaborative working environment

The successful candidate will have:

  • A calm, composed approach with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels
  • Proven experience working with HRIS platforms and leading or supporting system implementations
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience managing a range of employee relations (ER) cases
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
  • A genuine passion for fostering a positive, engaging, and inclusive workplace culture
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and support stakeholders
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards it) would be an advantage
