C. 40-45k + bens + progression

Monday to Friday – 8am – 5pm

We represent a quality and customer-focused manufacturing company based on Maidstone's outskirts in their search for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor with a background in metal forming and cold forging to lead a small team to drive production successfully.

Working as a Cold Forging Supervisor for this established business, you will be:

  • Leading a team through effective workforce and performance management
  • Working as a ‘hands-on’ leader in a factory environment overseeing cold forging processes to manufacture precision components
  • Working with a range of metals including steel and aluminium
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Quality checking manufactured products using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers etc.)
  • Adjusting machine settings and troubleshooting where necessary
  • Training and developing the team
  • Production planning to ensure supply meets demand
  • Ensuring orders are produced on time with minimal waste

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • A background in Toolmaking or CNC machining
  • An in-depth knowledge of cold forging with solid experience carrying out processes such as heading, upsetting and extrusion
  • Significant experience in setting and troubleshooting machinery
  • Supervisory experience within a technical manufacturing environment
  • Great communication skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • A good level of physical fitness
  • A positive, flexible approach
