Site Engineer - Civil Engineering Contractor (Ayrshire)
Permanent Position

On behalf of our client, a well-established and reputable Civil Engineering Contractor renowned for delivering high-quality engineering and construction solutions, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Site Engineer for renewable projects based in Ayrshire.

Role Overview
As the Site Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the Site Agent to ensure projects are managed efficiently and delivered on time. A strong background in civil engineering is essential, particularly with experience in the renewables, wind farms, and water sectors. Our client is committed to staff development, providing opportunities to work closely with the Site Agent. Your duties will include:

  • Setting out.
    • Conducting initial survey and site investigation work.
    • Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
    • Verifying design plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy.
    • Contributing to the management of construction works.
    • Assisting in the re-measurement and valuation of the contract.
    • Supporting tendering opportunities, including surveys, bulk earthworks quantities, and value engineering.
    • Overseeing quality control and health & safety on-site.
    • Developing method statements and risk assessments.
    • Supporting the team with other site engineering duties as required.

Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering.
    • Previous experience within a civil contracting environment.
    • A background in renewables, wind farm, and water projects (preferred).
    • Experience in setting out and surveying (essential).
    • Knowledge of CAD (desirable).
    • CSCS and 3-Day First Aid qualifications (advantageous).
    • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
    • A full UK driving licence.
