A leading M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) partner in the UK. They specialise in designing and installing building services and infrastructure solutions for commercial, defence and government clients. Producing M&E packages of up to £40m.

 

Role Overview:

Involved in the construction of a large life science project the Mechanical Project Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing mechanical installations design phase through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:

    • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
    • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation1.
  2. Technical and Engineering Tasks:

    • Produce process drawings and routings for manufacturing.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, business procedures, and client specifications1.
  3. Subcontractor and Procurement Management:

    • Manage subcontractors and procurement requirements.
    • Oversee the management of stock throughout the manufacturing process1.
  4. Client Interaction and Problem Solving:

    • Interact with clients to interpret their needs and requirements.
    • Resolve any issues related to project plans, budgets, and timelines1.
  5. Health and Safety Compliance:

    • Maintain cleanliness and ensure health and safety standards on-site.
    • Ensure all legal requirements are met throughout the project1.

 

Qualifications and requirements 

Ideally successful individuals will be be studying of have recently completed an ONC Qualification or recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification
