Are you an experienced CNC Wood Machinist with knowledge in Alpha Cam software? Our client, a leading design and manufacturing company, is seeking a skilled professional to join their joinery team and contribute to the production of high-quality displays and fixtures for the retail and hospitality sectors.

As a CNC Wood Machinist, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines, working primarily with MDF, chipboard, and wood materials. You will play a key role in ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality in production while supporting programming and assisting the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machines using Alpha Cam software, primarily on MDF, chipboard, and wood materials.
  • Support purchasing and estimating teams by advising on sheet yields and run times.
  • Assist with programming when required.
  • Verify parts and programs against drawings, ensuring accuracy.
  • Provide additional technical support regarding drawings to machine setters and operators.
  • Assist in setting up the CNC router cell to maximize output and maintain quality.
  • Liaise with the Production Manager and CNC Supervisor to set priorities and targets.
  • Maintain awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience operating 3-Axis CNC routers, particularly working with wood and MDF.
  • Strong knowledge of Alpha Cam software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Understanding of CNC programming and optimization for efficiency.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently when required.
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
